Job summary

Impel Management is seeking an experienced Credit/Relationship Manager to join its Commercial Bonds team in Sydney. You will conduct technical credit assessment, manage an existing portfolio, and engage with brokers, distribution partners and clients to maintain portfolio health.

Responsibilities include end-to-end credit assessments, renewals, due diligence, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and privacy/regulatory obligations, while supporting process improvements and policy shaping.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years in a commercial finance, business banking or insurance credit role.
• Experience in credit risk, underwriting or credit assessment.
• Degree in Business, Accounting or Commerce preferred.
• Strong financial statement interpretation.
• Proven stakeholder management and client service.

Responsibilities

• Credit assessment and analysis for a diverse portfolio of commercial clients.
• Manage end-to-end credit assessments for new applications and renewals.
• Conduct due diligence and gather underwriting information and market research.
• Assess financial statements to make credit decisions within DLA or provide recommendations.
• Implement security structures to mitigate risk and protect the business.
• Ensure risk and portfolio management align with internal policies and regulatory obligations.
• Maintain records and manage daily workflow in the Commercial Bonds database.
• Engage with distribution partners, brokers and clients on underwriting and portfolio matters.
• Identify process improvements and support underwriting workflow enhancements.
