Profusion in Sydney is seeking a Credit Analyst to assess, structure and recommend lending opportunities across a portfolio of established and growth-focused commercial customers. You will work with Relationship Managers to deliver tailored credit analysis and risk assessments.

The role offers exposure to high-growth trading and property lending, with opportunities to influence deal structuring and portfolio management within a collaborative banking team.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial banking, business banking, corporate banking or credit analysis.
• Strong financial analysis and credit writing skills.
• Experience assessing trading businesses, including working capital, cash flow and expansion funding requirements.
• Exposure to commercial property lending, property investment or property development transactions.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and identify key business performance drivers.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration with relationship managers.
• Commercial acumen and interest in supporting ambitious businesses through growth.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and assess commercial lending applications across a portfolio of customers with borrowing requirements between $1 million and $30 million.
• Prepare detailed credit submissions, including financial analysis, risk assessment, industry analysis and facility structuring recommendations.
• Partner closely with Relationship Managers to support customer acquisition, portfolio growth and retention strategies.
• Undertake annual reviews, covenant monitoring and ongoing portfolio management activities.
• Evaluate the financial performance and growth strategies of high-growth trading businesses across multiple sectors.
• Assess and structure lending opportunities for property investors, developers and commercial property customers.
• Identify key risks and mitigants through analysis of financial statements, cash flow performance, security positions and management capability.
• Maintain a strong understanding of market conditions, industry trends and credit policy requirements.
• Contribute to a high-performance team culture focused on delivering exceptional customer outcomes while maintaining sound risk management practices.
