Job summary

Qantas is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to drive insights and reporting for the Digital and Customer Experience space from its Mascot, Sydney head office. You will develop commercial insights from diverse data sources, monitor KPIs, and build presentations and budget inputs for senior stakeholders.

The role emphasizes strong analytical capabilities, collaboration across teams, and the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations that improve the customer and digital operations

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualifications, preference for applied statistics or related analytical field.
• Experience extracting/manipulating large data with SQL; Teradata platform preferred.
• Turn raw data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Analytical/problem-solving skills with commercial acumen.
• Proficiency in PowerBI or similar visualization software.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint; source data from internal IT systems.
• Ability to prepare analytical reports, presentations and budget inputs.
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills at all levels.
• Motivated and able to work without supervision.
• Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial performance reporting and key analysis to support the Qantas Digital Service Experience team.
• Build and increase operational efficiency across Digital and Customer operations.
• Develop commercial insights, analysis and reporting of Digital and Customer Operations.
• Generate insights and reports from diverse sources and stakeholders; present cohesive commercial overview.
• Monitor KPIs across Digital and Purchase portfolio aligned with group strategies.
• Conduct complex analytical work, including operational and financial modelling.
• Identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes across the Qantas Group.
• Focus resources and activities to achieve the targeted Qantas experience.
