Job summary

Department of Health Tasmania is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Retrieval Coordination. The role coordinates inter-facility transfers via road, air, or interstate, providing expert clinical leadership within a busy multidisciplinary team.

Applicants must be a Registered Nurse with critical care expertise, strong time management, and excellent negotiation and communication skills to support the aeromedical retrieval and patient flow across Tasmanian hospitals.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with critical care experience in emergency settings.
• Postgraduate qualification in critical care is desirable.
• Aeromedical/retrieval coordination experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inter-facility transfers across Tasmania and interstate.
• Provide clinical leadership and expert advice within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure appropriate triage and timely delivery of required level of care.
