Qualifications

• Experience with threat modelling, auditing, or compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

We have a super exciting opportunity to work with a leading edge product development business based in Melbourne. Working in the cloud and security team you will own the AWS security stack and embed application security practices and work with the engineering teams and reviewing and contribute to network security architecture (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Route53 to ensure secure connectivity etc). Leading and supporting incident response, security investigations and remediation efforts you will be monitoring emerging threats and continuously improving the security posture and detection capabilities. Staying up to date with AWS security services you will looking into emerging threats and industry best practices to share with the team.

With 5+years in cloud security engineering, application security or a related role you will be hands on in the AWS security stack, solid in application security, managing AWS multi-account environments and with a good understanding of network architecture. With skills in IAC and Cloud formation you will have the ability to codify security control. With skills in a programming language (ie Python, Golang, Rust etc) you will enjoy working with security tooling and automation. Experience with security auditing, compliance frameworks, or formal threat modelling methodologies will also be highly regarded.
