Job summary

Early Start Australia Pty is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support our national clinics and hubs. You will lead design and operation of Microsoft 365, cloud, networking, and security, mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement across our modern workplace and cloud platforms.

The role focuses on reliability, security, and scalable solutions for clinicians and business teams across Australia, reporting to the Digital and Technology team within a large allied health

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a senior infrastructure engineering role within a medium to large enterprise.
• Hands-on administration of Microsoft 365 technologies (Entra, Defender XDR, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
• Proficient with Azure services (Compute, Storage, networking, security).
• Strong IAM knowledge: Conditional Access, PIM, identity collaboration.
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure (VPNs, Firewalls, switching, WiFi).
• Proven ability to analyze complex tech issues and deliver practical solutions.
• Experience delivering technical projects in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365, cloud, and infrastructure platforms.
• Senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, networking, security, and M365 incidents.
• Identify risks and implement improvements to security, reliability, and performance.
• Lead technical projects from planning to implementation with business outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and runbooks.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in the team.
• Contribute to governance, security controls, and continuous improvement.
