Job summary

Recruitment Hive is seeking Senior Cloud Engineers for a Federal Government client in Canberra on 12+12+12 month contracts requiring baseline security clearance.

You will design, build and maintain secure, scalable cloud platforms on Azure or AWS, supporting AI/ML and Generative AI workloads, with governance, RBAC/IAM and DevOps pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing security guardrails and RBAC/IAM across cloud platforms.
• Proven DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines and scripting in common languages.
• Experience migrating and deploying AI workloads in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify end-to-end solution architecture across Azure/AWS to meet ICT requirements.
• Architect secure, scalable cloud infrastructures for AI/ML/GenAI workloads.
• Gap analysis and options leveraging ISV components or custom development.

• Greenfield and brownfield cloud platforms in either Azure or AWS

Our client, a Federal Government entity is seeking Senior Cloud Engineers.

About the role -Senior Cloud Engineers

Identify the appropriate end-to-end solution portfolio, considering all relevant ICT solutions and service offerings such as best practices.

• Identify solution gaps and develop gap closure options such as the inclusion of components from Independent Software Vendors or customer-specific development.


• Architect the end-to-end functional landscape and solution design to support desired business processes and business/ICT requirements of the customer, ensuring alignment.


• Design, build and maintain secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure supporting Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Generative AI services.

Skills / Experience -Senior Cloud Engineers

• Experience in governance and security: Implementing policies, guardrails, RBAC/IAM, and tools like AWS Security Hub or Azure Security Center.


• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline), and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).


• Experience with the migration and deployment of cloud-based AI workloads including architecture, data migration, model deployment and platform integration.
