Amazon AWS ProServe is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement and manage complex AWS solutions for national security and defence customers in Australia. You will drive customer success, lead migration strategies, and provide expert guidance through the project lifecycle, with a focus on scalable, secure architectures.

Description

The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) practice, is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our National Security and Defence team. In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet customer technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Senior Cloud Engineer you will be proficient in designing complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, build solutions and propose effective migration strategies.

Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience

  • Experience in consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions

  • Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust

Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Professional level certification

  • Experience in the Defence and/or National Security domain

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or similar
