Job summary

XPT Software in Melbourne seeks an experienced cloud engineer to design and automate Azure infrastructure using Terraform, PowerShell, and DevOps pipelines. You will onboard target VMs, enforce baselines, and implement policy and compliance.

The role requires 8-10+ years in medium to large IT environments, strong scripting skills, and IaC experience, collaborating with delivery teams to ensure security, reliability, and governance across cloud resources.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years’ experience working in medium to large IT environments.
• 4 years working with Azure Public Cloud services designing and building cloud solutions using IaaS and PaaS services.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud platform and services for computing, storage, database management, and networking.
• Experience developing and adopting DevSecOps strategies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on deploying applications and building infrastructure in Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Authoring and deploying PowerShell DSC configurations for VM baseline enforcement and onboarding to Azure Automation State Configuration.
• Azure Policy design/assignment and remediation task configuration across subscriptions; governance and documentation.
