Job summary

a23, an Australian owned Systems Integrator headquartered in Canberra, is seeking a Cloud Solutions Engineer to design, develop and implement Azure- and AWS-based solutions for government and enterprise clients in a hybrid cloud environment. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Vendor & Industry Certification with Azure and AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) & Automation Tools.
• Knowledge delivering 'as a service' capabilities using Azure technologies.
• Knowledge securing Azure technologies to a PROTECTED level.
• Knowledge designing and implementing secure networks in Azure.
• Experience designing on-premises and 'as a service' capabilities.
• NV1 or NV2 clearance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of solution centric Azure capability including Azure Policy, Azure app services, Azure SQL Databases, Key Vaults, Azure Front Door, and Enterprise Landing Zones
• Ensure designs and implementation meet governance and security requirements
• Plan and migrate pilot workloads and applications into Azure
• Provide technical assurance services for project and operational engineering teams
• Develop design and operational documentation
• Attend daily scrums and manage work items assigned using Microsoft DevOps and the Agile methodology
• Ensure cloud solutions align to better practice

About the role

We have a requirement for a Cloud Solutions Engineer to provide planning, development and implementation services in support of our customer's adoption of Software, Platform and Infrastructure 'as a service' offerings. This customer is adopting a hybrid, multi-cloud environment, comprising a mix of service providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce and other enterprise on-premises services. The focus of this role will be working in a team designing and implementing the department's solution centric Azure capabilities deploying key strategic applications into that environment. The broader focus of the role will require the successful candidate to exhibit a range of skills and experience supporting modern, large and complex federal government departments – both cloud and on-premises, with a focus on automation and security.

• Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) or Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) clearance is essential.
