Utility Software Services (USS) in Melbourne is seeking a Cloud Engineer to own cloud operations on AWS within an Agile team. You will design, implement and deliver architectural enhancements and optimisations to support USS product and business roadmap.

The role blends hands-on cloud engineering with DevOps leadership, using Terraform, Ansible and Helm for infrastructure as code, and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab. Experience with MySQL and Cassandra is valued.

Competenze

• Degree in IT or relevant certification.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and processes.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm) and cloud automation.
• Knowledge of well-architected framework and cloud operations best practices.
• Familiarity with SDLC and SaaS architectures.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX administration and networking.
• Experience in IT security policy development.
• Experience with MySQL and Apache Cassandra.
• Energy Retail industry experience is advantageous.
• Java/SQL development experience is advantageous.
