The Right Support at the Right Time Can Change a Young Person's Future

At Lives Lived Well, we believe young people deserve access to compassionate, evidence-based support that helps them build healthier futures.

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Clinician to join our growing Youth AOD Program, supporting young people aged 12-25 years across the West Moreton region.

This is an opportunity to combine meaningful clinical work with leadership, mentoring and service development while helping shape a growing Youth AOD program that delivers flexible, outreach-based support to young people across the West Moreton region.

A Role Where You Can Make a Broader Impact

As a senior member of the team, you'll combine direct clinical work with opportunities to mentor, support and influence practice across the service.

Working alongside an established Clinician and Peer Worker, you'll help strengthen clinical practice, support service growth and improve access to youth-friendly AOD support throughout the West Moreton region.

This is primarily an outreach-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys working flexibly in the community, building strong relationships with young people and key stakeholders, and delivering support where young people feel most comfortable.

You'll play an important role in supporting clinical excellence, reflective practice and positive outcomes for young people and their families.

You'll Thrive Here If You're Someone Who:
  • Is passionate about supporting young people during some of the most challenging periods of their lives.
  • Brings strong clinical judgement and confidence when working with complex presentations.
  • Enjoys mentoring and supporting other practitioners.
  • Values trauma-informed, recovery-oriented and person-centred practice.
  • Builds trust quickly and creates genuine connections with young people and families.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a positive team culture.
  • Wants to help shape a growing service and improve outcomes for young people across the community.
  • Believes early intervention can change the trajectory of a young person's life.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Providing advanced clinical assessment, intervention and treatment planning for young people.
  • Delivering counselling, case management and therapeutic interventions.
  • Supporting complex case reviews, risk assessments and clinical decision-making.
  • Providing clinical leadership, mentoring and support to team members.
  • Facilitating therapeutic groups, education sessions and community engagement activities.
  • Supporting a culture of evidence-based, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice.
  • Building collaborative relationships with schools, healthcare providers, families and community organisations.
  • Delivering outreach services across Ipswich and the broader West Moreton region.
  • Maintaining accurate client records and contributing to quality improvement activities.
What You'll Bring
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Human Services, Behavioural Science or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering clinical interventions within AOD, mental health or community service settings.
  • Strong assessment, treatment planning and risk management skills.
  • Experience supporting, mentoring or supervising clinicians or practitioners.
  • Sound knowledge of trauma-informed, recovery-oriented and person-centred practice.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and strengthening communities.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
  • Current Australian Driver Licence.
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
Why Join Lives Lived Well?
  • Salary packaging benefits to increase your take-home pay.
  • Five additional paid wellbeing leave days each year.
  • Fitness Passport access to gyms, pools and recreation facilities nationwide.
  • Employee Assistance Program for you and your family.
  • Ongoing professional development, supervision and learning opportunities.
  • Supportive leadership and a collaborative team culture.
  • The opportunity to provide leadership within a growing Youth AOD service.
