This position is location negotiable based in Coffs Harbour or Port Macquarie however consideration for a flexible onsite/remote working plan may be considered for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing
This is a Senior Allied Health role (Counsellor Level 4, Senior Psychologist or a Social Worker Level 4), providing clinical leadership to a newly established multi-disciplinary team.
The In reach / Outreach / Brief Intervention (IOBI) multidisciplinary team will provide brief intervention for clients accessing AOD services and will also provide in reach and outreach services. The In-Reach component will bring the team's community expertise into the hospital care setting. The outreach component will work with individuals with ongoing AOD issues who have had experiences that have impacted them to engage with services.The senior clinician of the IOBI team is responsible for ensuring the delivering of high-quality therapeutic interventions to clients who access the Service and provide clinical leadership for the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
The position will identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice; develop or lead ongoing quality improvement activities and contribute to the review and development of the service’s policy and procedures. The position will also provide specialist counselling support in the Alcohol and Other Drugs Service. As per professional classification, this position is responsible for conducting assessments; case formulation and treatment; brief interventions and ongoing therapeutic counselling. The position is required to ensure that appropriate treatment is conducted in consultation with clients of the service including the development of care plans, gathering of outcome measures and participating in clinical review processes.
About You
We are looking for a Clinical Allied Health lead. This could include someone who has a bachelor's in social work (eligibility for membership of AASW), a tertiary qualification in psychology, counselling or a related field. Can you demonstrate capacity to provide clinical governance and team leadership, and experience in the provision of education to peers, clients and other service providers at individual and group levels. If you are passionate about clinical leadership, which incorporates implementing and evaluating quality activities toembed client centred care and working with people to achieve their goals to make positive health and lifestyle changes around alcohol or other drugs, this role would be well suited for you.
