Job summary

Berry Street Take Two Program in Victoria seeks a Senior Clinician to support children and young people in care with trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy. You will complete assessments, develop therapeutic plans and deliver clinical interventions to improve outcomes.

You will also support Therapeutic Foster Carers through reflective supervision and psychoeducation, working closely with carers and multidisciplinary teams. Occasional out-of-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field; post-graduate degree preferred.
• Experience conducting trauma- and developmentally informed work with children and youth.
• Experience in Child Protection and Out of Home Care sector.

Responsibilities

• Complete trauma-informed assessments and develop therapeutic plans.

Take Two Program

Take Two provides a range of therapeutic services for infants, children and young people who have suffered trauma, neglect and disrupted attachment, and contributes to the service system that provides care, support and protection for these children.

Take Two is also involved, in partnership with other community service agencies, in the provision of therapeutic family violence services, therapeutic foster care, therapeutic residential care, and therapeutic services for the Family Preservation and Reunification Response Program.

• Based at either Shepparton on Yorta Yorta Country or Seymour on Taungurung Country
• $119k + Super & Salary Packaging
• Vehicle will be provisioned, this could be a pool vehicle, tool of trade or MVA

The Opportunity

As a Senior Clinician, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people in care to achieve positive therapeutic outcomes. Using a trauma-informed and evidence-based approach, you'll complete assessments, develop and implement therapeutic plans, deliver clinical interventions, and provide ongoing support to Therapeutic Foster Carers through reflective supervision and psychoeducation.

Alongside managing a complex caseload, you'll work closely with carers and multidisciplinary teams to strengthen therapeutic understanding and create stable, nurturing environments where children and young people can thrive.

Please note: occasional out-of-hours work may be required to meet the needs and availability of carers and families.

With strong clinical judgement and a collaborative approach, you build trusted relationships with carers, young people and care teams to achieve positive outcomes. Above all, you are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based support that makes a genuine difference in the lives of children and families.

You Will Have

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field. A post-graduate degree is preferred.
• Experience conducting trauma and developmentally informed clinical work with children and young people.
• Experience in Child Protection and Out of Home Care sector
