Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking an experienced Clinical Trials Pharmacy Start-Up Manager at Royal North Shore Hospital. The role leads pharmacy start-up activities, coordinates with sponsors and investigators, and drives activation of multiple clinical trials.

You will develop COSEs, review budgets and ensure regulatory compliance, while mentoring staff and contributing to service growth and research capability within the Clinical Trials Pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and extensive hospital experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in clinical trial budgeting, COSEs and study start-up processes.
• Experience leading and mentoring pharmacy staff and coordinating cross‑disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead pharmacy study start-up activities for a growing portfolio of clinical trials.
• Develop COSEs, review study budgets and support financial sustainability.
• Prepare study-specific documentation and oversee workflows for trial activation.
• Collaborate with sponsors, CROs, investigators and governance teams throughout start-up.
