Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Clinical Specialist to support the Neuromodulation portfolio across Australia, partnering with Territory Managers to deliver clinical excellence and drive adoption of Targeted Drug Delivery (TDD), SCS and DBS solutions.

You will provide on-site clinical education, technical support, and strategic input to grow share while maintaining high safety and quality standards in hospital settings.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive neuromodulation clinical knowledge and ability to discuss clinical papers.
• Strong relationships with implanting surgeons, nurses and clinical staff.
• Advanced understanding of hospital lab/ theatre purchasing, scheduling and invoicing processes.
• Proficient computer literacy with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Territory Managers to assess clinical and service needs.
• Provide high-level clinical service and technical support to customers.
• Deliver on-site clinical education, training, and consulting to specified customers.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities with Sales and Clinical Support teams.
• Serve as a technical resource to support sales of neuromodulation products.
• Coordinate case coverage with Clinical Specialists across the state.
• Assist with inventory monitoring and timely stock delivery to customers.

Job description

In this exciting role as a Senior Clinical Specialist, you will be working closely with the Neuromodulation team to achieve sales revenue and market share targets across QLD by providing technical and clinical excellence to implanters and clinical stakeholders for Targeted Drug Delivery (TDD), Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) portfolios.

Position Responsibilities

• Work with Territory Managers (TMs) to understand the clinical and service needs of specific customers and provide highest level clinical service and technical support
• Support TMs' account sales strategies to drive sales and territory results through regular contact with key specialists and technical staff
• Conducts on-site clinical education, training and / or consulting to specified customers
• Identifies and facilitates execution on growth opportunities with Sales/Clinical Support & Management Team
• Serves as a technical resource to support sales of a specific medical product or solution
• Proactively meet with TMs and other Clinical Specialists (CSs) in managing case coverage requirements for the state.
• Support Territory Managers with inventory monitoring and control, including ensuring appropriate levels of inventory in each location & the expedited delivery of stock to customers as needed

Experience and Knowledge

Specialised Knowledge and Experience Required

• Comprehensive clinical and technical knowledge including clinical papers. Asks skillful questions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the neuromodulation clinical offerings
• Strong clinical and business relationships with customers
• Advanced understanding of internal workings of hospital labs/ theatres / departments e.g. purchasing, consignment, clinics, patient & implant scheduling, and key influencers

Job Specific Competencies

• Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software
• Maintain a valid driver's license.

Qualifications and previous experience

High School Diploma with minimum of 8 years relevant experience OR Associate Diploma with minimum of 6 years relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree in nursing, general science or similar with minimum of 4 years relevant experience or Advanced degree with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
