Job summary

Western Health in Melbourne's west invites an experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join the Specialist Medical Inpatient Service at Footscray Hospital. The role blends assessment, therapy and ward-based consultation across medical and surgical wards, ICU and sub-acute settings.

You will supervise junior psychologists and contribute to education, research and quality improvement while leading service development and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Registered Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA and AoPE endorsement.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a psychologist.
• Strong skills in multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centred care.
• Experience supervising clinicians or students in clinical settings.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based psychological assessment, treatment and care planning to patients with complex and chronic health conditions.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support integrated care.
• Ensure safe and high-quality patient care in line with Western Health values and policies.
• Supervise psychologists.
• Support service development, quality improvement and research activities.
