Job summary

Wellington Shire Council is seeking an experienced Senior Client Coordinator to join our Client Services team. You will supervise a small team and coordinate high-quality in-home care services, ensuring timely referrals and matching clients with suitable carers.

You will lead with strong communication, contribute to performance development, rostering accuracy, and service improvement while maintaining compliance and excellent client experiences.

Qualifications

  • Experience in community care or similar client-focused environment.
  • Experience or potential in team leadership.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational & prioritisation abilities.
  • Proficiency with rostering systems (Lookout) is desirable.
  • Proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising, coaching and developing a small team of Client Coordinators and Carer Leads.
  • Support team performance, training, recruitment and professional development.
  • Coordinate new client referrals and establish services in a timely manner.
  • Match clients with suitable carers based on needs, preferences, and availability.
  • Create and maintain client and carer rosters using rostering software.
  • Ensure effective communication between clients, families, carers, case managers and referral partners.
  • Support resolution of client and carer enquiries, complaints and concerns.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, efficiency and team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, quality and documentation requirements.
  • Support the Client Services Manager with reporting, team oversight and strategic initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Client Coordinator to join our Client Services team. About the Role

Reporting to the Client Services Manager, you will supervise a small team of Client Coordinators and Carer Leads while playing a hands-on role in coordinating high-quality in-home care services.

Key responsibilities include

  • Ensuring effective communication between clients, families, carers, case managers and referral partners.
  • Supporting the resolution of client and carer enquiries, complaints and concerns.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, efficiency and team performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, quality and documentation requirements.
  • Supporting the Client Services Manager with reporting, team oversight and strategic initiatives.
About You

You will be an organised, proactive and people-focused professional who can confidently manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You will bring:

  • Experience in community care, home care or a similar client-focused environment.
  • Experience or demonstrated potential in team leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • The ability to problem-solve, manage conflict and provide constructive feedback.
  • Strong computer literacy and confidence using databases and rostering system Lookout is desirable.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding client and carer experiences.
