Job summary

C Consulting Engineers in Stanthorpe, Queensland seeks a highly experienced Structural and Civil Engineer to lead diverse projects across residential, commercial and rural developments. You’ll influence project direction, mentor junior staff and drive growth with autonomy from concept to completion.

You will deliver high quality designs, liaise with clients and inspectors, and ensure compliance with Australian Standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and P.E./RPEQ registration preferred.
• 20+ years of consulting experience including sign off of projects under own RPEQ.
• Experience in residential and commercial structural engineering projects.
• Experience in earthworks, drainage, stormwater and road design including drains, PC Sewer and 12D.
• Strong design, site and construction support capabilities.
• Proficiency with structural design software and documentation.
• AutoCAD proficiency is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and proactive problem solving.
• Permanent resident status is required for this position.
• Flexible FTE options of 0.8, 0.9, or 1.0.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural and civil designs from concept through to construction and completion.
• Prepare and review designs in line with Australian Standards and client requirements.
• Provide senior technical input across multiple projects.
• Liaise with clients, architects, builders and consultants throughout delivery.
• Conduct site inspections including footings, slabs, retaining walls, framing, and steelwork.
• Manage design and construction issues as they arise.
• Mentor junior engineers and support drafting staff as required.
• Maintain quality, WHS and design compliance across all projects.
