Job summary

Sabre Engineering Services is seeking a highly experienced Civil RPEQ Engineer to join a major rail infrastructure project in the Bowen Basin, Queensland.

You will take ownership of technical oversight, construction verification and engineering certification, ensuring activities meet Australian Standards, quality requirements and statutory obligations. The role suits engineers based in Mackay/Rockhampton willing to travel to Moranbah.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Current Queensland RPEQ registration
• Minimum 10 years civil infra construction
• Experience delivering earthworks, rail formation and bridges
• Strong construction verification and certification background
• White Card and valid driver's licence

Responsibilities

• Provide RPEQ oversight, validation and certification of civil works.
• Review and approve construction methodologies and designs.
• Oversee bulk earthworks, rail formation, bridges and culverts.
• Review piling, foundations, abutments, piers, reinforcement and concrete placement.
• Verify compliance with drawings, standards and quality requirements.
• Review ITPs, work packs and quality documentation.
• Support inspections, sign-offs and verification.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and interface challenges.
• Provide guidance to supervisors, engineers and contractors.
• Liaise with designers and stakeholders to maintain compliance.
