Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, 8+ years' experience, and proficiency in Procore and Trimble; you'll manage budgets, procurement and subcontractor variations while fostering stakeholder relationships. This is a full-time role with a clear progression path within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or related tertiary qualification.
• 8+ years’ experience within the civil construction industry, including experience leading complex infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, engineering principles, specifications, drawings, plans, and project documentation.
• Proven ability to manage project budgets, financial performance, procurement activities, subcontractors, and contract variations.
• Experience overseeing project safety, quality, environmental compliance, and risk management activities.

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to project teams while fostering a positive and high-performing project culture.
• Managing project delivery activities to ensure works comply with specifications, approvals, legislative requirements, industry standards, and client expectations.
• Reviewing designs and construction methodologies and recommending practical improvements to optimise project outcomes and construction efficiency.
• Overseeing site construction programs, procurement schedules, staging requirements, logistics, resources, and project timelines to achieve successful delivery outcomes.
• Exercising professional judgement to resolve engineering, construction, design, and operational challenges that arise throughout the project lifecycle.
• Managing project financial performance through forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and identification of opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Assessing and verifying subcontractor claims, variations, and contractual obligations while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
