Job summary

S&You Australia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Queensland operation on major civil construction projects. You will lead planning, delivery, and commercial management across multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, within-budget outcomes.

The role demands strong Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil sector experience, with proven ability to manage complex projects from mobilisation to handover, while maintaining safety, quality and stakeholder engagement across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil contractors.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Strong civil/infrastructure project experience.
• Experience in demolition, bulk earthworks or remediation is preferred.
• Strong commercial and financial management capability.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent planning, scheduling and progress reporting skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Solid understanding of WHS, quality and environmental requirements.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced project.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
• Lead project delivery teams including Project Engineers and site personnel.
• Manage project programs, budgets, forecasts and commercial performance.
• Monitor project costs, productivity, progress and financial outcomes.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and procurement activities.
• Review and manage contracts, variations, claims and project correspondence.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate project reporting, programming and resource requirements.
• Support tender handovers, project planning and pre-construction activities.
• Drive project performance and maintain high standards across delivery teams.
