Job summary

Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec (WGA), an AtkinsRéalis Company, is seeking a Senior Pavement Engineer to lead flexible pavement design and rehabilitation projects in Melbourne for government and private clients.

You will use CIRCLY 7.0 and other pavement design tools, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver site-specific, constructible solutions that meet client needs. A tertiary Civil/Geotechnical Engineering degree and consulting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience across flexible pavement design and rehabilitation ideally within a Consulting Environment
• Tertiary Qualifications in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
• Experience in co-ordination, design and delivery of pavement projects within multi-disciplinary engineering projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• A team-first attitude and desire to develop others
• Experience across highways, industrial, maritime and/or airfields sectors would be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Lead flexible pavement design and rehabilitation projects across local governments, state governments and private developers
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver site-specific pavement solutions
• Apply pavement design software and industry methods to assesses conditions and develop constructible designs
• Manage client relationships, schedules, budgets and project deliverables
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical development

About our role:

At WGA our supportive and inclusive Civil and Geotechnical teams undertake pavement designs across a broad range of projects, including for local and state governments, defence, private developers and infrastructure owners.

With a large workload in new flexible pavement design and pavement rehabilitation designs on roads and highways, we also undertake designs for industrial pavements, ports and marine facilities and other heavy duty applications as well as for rigid pavements and landscaping projects. Due to consistent growth and a fantastic, loyal Client base we are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team.

About you:

• Proven experience across flexible pavement design and rehabilitation ideally within a Consulting Environment


• Tertiary Qualifications in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering


• Ideally experienced in rigid pavement, stabilised pavement designs and assessing condition data on existing roads


• Proficient at using CIRCLY 7.0 as well as other specialist software such as HIPAVE, FAARFIELD, BPA, Rubicon and/or AfPA Pavement design methods and software


• Demonstrated ability to work closely and collaboratively with clients and contractors to identify constructible and best for use pavement designs that are site specific and meets the needs of the client and end user


• Sound project management and hands-on experience, encompassing administrative, commercial and technical aspects.


• Experience in the co-ordination, design and delivery of pavement projects within multi-disciplinary engineering projects


• Excellent oral and written communication skills


• A team-first attitude and desire to use your experience to develop others


• Experience across highways, industrial, maritime and/or airfields sectors would be highly regarded
