Downs Roadside Engineering, based in Roma, QLD, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer / Civil Designer to work on infrastructure projects with a flexible 75% site/office and 25% remote arrangement. You will mentor team members, manage design tasks and liaise with clients to ensure quality deliverables.

The role involves detailed design using 12d and AutoCAD, preparing tender documents, and reviewing RFIs while supporting project meetings and information sharing within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualified Civil Engineer with project management experience.
• Experience reporting and client-facing roles.
• Ability to prepare and review Tender Schedules, BOQ, Estimates and contract documents.

Responsabilités

• Communicate and justify decisions to clients and negotiate outcomes.
• Perform detailed design, review and verification; prepare AutoCAD based plans.
• Mentor and train others in design software usage.
• Attend project meetings and liaise with the wider team.
• Review RFIs and assess impacts on construction related claims.
• Possibly undertake basic site inspections for proof rolls, pre-seal and pre-pour inspections.
