Job summary

Hatch in Perth is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead the civil design and delivery for major mining, energy and infrastructure projects. You will oversee bulk earthworks, drainage, roads and water management while coordinating multidisciplinary teams in a consulting environment.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive technical excellence, and ensure designs meet Australian standards and client requirements across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent
• CPEng or eligible for chartership through Engineers Australia; RPEQ highly regarded
• 8+ years' experience in mining, resources, energy, industrial or infrastructure projects
• Strong experience in bulk earthworks, site grading, drainage, stormwater management, road and pavement design
• Sound understanding of hydrology, hydraulics and water management infrastructure
• Proficiency with Civil 3D, 12d Model, AutoCAD and other industry-standard design software
• Experience leading design teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project delivery
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and mentoring skills

Hatch is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Perth office, supporting the delivery of major mining, energy and infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead the civil design and delivery of complex projects across all phases, from concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design and construction support.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across a range of civil engineering disciplines including bulk earthworks, site development, drainage, roads, pavements and water management infrastructure. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate with project managers, clients and technical specialists to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions that create positive change for our clients and communities.

• Sound understanding of hydrology, hydraulics and water management infrastructure.
