Stantec is seeking a Principal Civil Designer for the Sunshine Coast office to lead civil design on major water projects. You will apply Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Navisworks to deliver drawings, reports and specifications while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with significant design drafting experience.
• Minimum 10 years of multi-disciplinary civil/ mechanical/ structural design drafting.
• Strong knowledge of CAD tools and drawing management software.
• Developing management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design drafting for water infrastructure projects (dams, pipelines, treatment plants).
• Mentor and supervise junior staff and coordinate with project teams.
• Prepare reports, drawings and cost estimates for planning and construction phases.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal leads to shape design approaches.
