Job summary

AECOM Adelaide is seeking a skilled civil design drafter with extensive experience in large multidisciplinary projects. You will contribute to Defence, transport, energy, and mining initiatives across South Australia, supported by relocation options and a collaborative, global team.

The role emphasizes safety, independent design development, and mentoring junior staff, with flexible work arrangements and long-term project security. Australian citizenship and security clearances are required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in a similar consultancy role.
• Proven experience delivering design and drafting for large civil infrastructure projects (utilities coordination, drainage, earthworks, roads).
• Australian citizenship and Defence clearance are required; Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering Design preferred.
• Able to develop designs independently while prioritising safety and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver drafting and design on large multidisciplinary civil engineering projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and drafters locally and internationally to ensure timely design deliverables.
• Maintain rigorous standards and best practices to meet high quality criteria.
• Contribute to Defence-related projects, ensuring future-ready solutions.
• Mentor and lead juniors within the drafting and design team.
