Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal or Senior Civil Engineer to join our Community Development team in South East Queensland, based in Springfield or Brisbane. You will work on civil design and project management for civil infrastructure and urban development, with potential involvement in Brisbane 2032 games-related projects.

The role emphasizes independent design, project delivery and strong stakeholder management within a global consultancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering required.
• Experience in civil design and project delivery of civil infrastructure.
• Registration/CP Eng and/or RPEQ advantageous or obtainable within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver civil infrastructure projects including land and urban developments.
• Manage projects, programs, budgets, and client communications.

About The Role

The role will require independent design, project delivery and stakeholder management and will suit an experienced Civil Engineer with good technical design background, strong consulting engineering and project delivery skills.

Day To Day Tasks Would Involve

• Civil design and project management relating to land, urban and subdivisions
• Construction phase support, design review, stakeholder management, liaison with authorities, reporting, contract administration and quality audits.
• Liaising with engineers, designers, and drafters
• Adhering to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures.
• Managing clients and other consultants.
• Assist with project management and business development.
• Support Project Leaders Managers in completing projects in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management and overall Client satisfaction.

To Be Successful For This Role You'll Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Demonstrated experience in the civil engineering related to design and project management of civil infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of applicable Australian standards, codes and state requirements
• Hold CP Eng and / or RPEQ registration, or be in a position to obtain in the next 12 months.
