Burwood Council is seeking a Senior Team Leader for Civil Construction & Maintenance to supervise a small team and contractors, delivering road, footpath, drainage, and other council works. You’ll balance planning, safety, and hands-on supervision on site.

This role emphasizes leadership, project coordination, and continuous improvement of work practices while aligning with the Council’s strategic goals and 9-day fortnight benefits.

Formación

• Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent qualification, or at least five years' relevant experience.
• Proven leadership experience supervising civil teams and contractors.
• Strong safety, quality, and communication focus.
• Competence in operating minor plant and equipment.
• Proficiency with computer systems and mobile work management tools (e.g. Assetic Mobility).

Responsabilidades

• Lead and motivate a team to deliver civil works and maintenance programs.
• Oversee scheduling, rostering and performance management.
• Manage contractors and procurement processes.
• Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental standards.
• Operate plant and equipment when required.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors and the community.
