Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety – Cairns QLD seeks a Senior Team Leader to guide a team delivering high-quality child protection services, including assessment, intervention, casework and case management.

You will allocate tasks, develop responsive service strategies, and collaborate with agencies to support children, young people and families. The role emphasizes training, quality assurance and strategic leadership within a multidisciplinary framework.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of legislation and practice guidelines in child protection.
• Ability to develop service responses and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Experience in staff training and development.
• Commitment to cross-sector collaboration and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management of staff to deliver quality child protection service delivery.
• Allocate, prioritise and perform work tasks in accordance with policy and practice guidelines.
• Develop appropriate service responses to meet identified needs of clients and communities.
• Identify training needs and advise on development of training programs.
• Develop enduring service delivery partnerships to enhance cross-sector collaboration.
• Foster a culture of frontline service delivery, teamwork and professional ethics.
• Participate as a member of the Management Team and in quality assurance reviews of the work group.
