Job summary

The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing Victoria is seeking a CPP5.1 Senior Practitioner to lead high-quality child protection practice and support teams to achieve safety, stability and positive development for children and young people.

You will supervise team members, contribute to case planning and provide guidance within a structured learning program, with travel across regional Victoria as required and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience in child protection practice.
• Ability to supervise team and develop plans for children’s safety and wellbeing.
• Understanding of Aboriginal cultures and relevant policies.

Responsibilities

• Risk assessment and analysis: develop and coach others in risk assessment.
• Case planning review and management: provide guidance and inputs for cases with risk concerns.
• Critical inquiry: lead planning and management of cases per best practice and law.
