Job summary

dnata catering & retail in Australia is seeking a Senior Catering Attendant to support production kitchens, assemble meals, and meet presentation standards for airline customers.

You will work 38 hours per week on a full-time roster, follow HACCP, wear PPE, and collaborate with chefs to deliver high-quality inflight meals.

Qualifications

• Full ongoing working rights in Australia.
• Sound numerical skills.
• Strong knife skills (safe, efficient and repetitive use of various knives for food prep).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and lift items.
• Able to work shift work across a 7-day roster.
• Neat and tidy presentation.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP (desirable).
• Willing to wear PPE and a standardised uniform.
• Pass pre-employment checks incl. National Police Check and medical assessment.
• Availability to work 38 hours/week as a full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Help chefs prepare meals in bulk.
• Measure ingredients and prepare fruit, vegetables, and proteins.
• Handle food, plate meals, and set meal trays to presentation standards.
• Stock airline carts with catering items, snacks, and beverages.

So, what does a typical day look like?

As a full-time, Senior Catering Attendant, you’re an integral member of our team, working across a range of areas to prepare all elements required to deliver a memorable dining experience for passengers onboard our airline customers flights. To do this, you perform a variety of roles across our production kitchen, including light food prep, packing and assembling meals. Responsibilities include:

• Help chefs prepare meals in bulk.
• Measure ingredients and prepare fruit, vegetables, and proteins.
• Handle food, plate meals, and set meal trays to presentation standards.
• Stock airline carts with catering items, snacks, and beverages.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP guidelines.
