Job summary

Glencore Metals Australia is seeking a seasoned Superintendent - Category Management to lead the Fixed Plant & Industrial Services category across Zinc and Nickel operations in Australia. You will shape category strategies, oversee sourcing, contract governance and supplier relationships to unlock value and enhance supply continuity.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver strategic sourcing and category management outcomes in complex environments.
• Experience leading category management, sourcing, contract governance and supplier relationships.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Australia to Glencore Metals operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies aligned to priorities.
• Identify and deliver sustainable cost savings and risk reduction initiatives.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations and manage high-value supplier relationships.
• Provide leadership and development to a category management team.
• Partner with business leaders to drive procurement excellence and influence sourcing decisions.
• Strengthen supplier performance through governance and continuous improvement.
• Drive best practice procurement processes across the business.
• Ensure compliance with procurement governance frameworks while supporting supply continuity.
