About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this highly visible leadership role will play a critical part in shaping Sorbent's future consumer portfolio strategy and delivering sustainable category leadership.

You will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, key retail partners, and global stakeholders to drive market growth, accelerate innovation and establish Sorbent as a significant player within the feminine care category.

As Senior Category Manager you will own the strategic vision and commercial performance of the portfolio across Australia.

As the organisation's category authority, you will lead the development and execution of growth strategies that enhance market share, strengthen retailer partnerships, identify innovation opportunities and maximise profitability.

This role requires a commercially astute and influential leader who combines deep consumer understanding with strong category management expertise and a proven track record in feminine care, personal care or adjacent health and wellness categories.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Category Leadership

• Define the long-term category vision aligned with Sorbent's overall business strategy.
• Identify emerging consumer, retailer and market trends to unlock growth opportunities.
• Act as the executive category lead, influencing business-wide decisions and investment priorities.
• Present category strategies and business performance directly to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.

Commercial Growth & Category Performance

• Drive revenue, profit and market share growth across all Sorbent brands.
• Lead strategic pricing, promotional and portfolio optimisation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate category expansion, penetration and shopper engagement.
• Partner with Sales, Finance and Supply Chain to optimise commercial outcomes.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key retail partners including Coles, Woolworths, Chemist Warehouse, Priceline and major pharmacy groups.
• Influence retailer decision-making through compelling insights and category recommendations.

Consumer & Shopper Insights

• Convert consumer and shopper insights into winning commercial strategies.
• Leverage NielsenIQ, Circana, Quantium and retailer data platforms to identify opportunities.
• Champion evidence-based decision making across the organisation.
• Lead category storytelling and executive-level business reviews.
• Own the innovation pipeline and category roadmap.
• Identify future trends and whitespace opportunities within Feminine Care and Women's Health.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years' experience in senior Category Management, Category Leadership, Category Development or Commercial Leadership roles within FMCG.
• Demonstrated experience within Feminine Care, Personal Care, Women's Health, Intimate Care, Baby Care or Health & Wellness categories is mandatory.
• Proven track record of delivering category growth, market share gains and commercial results within branded consumer products.
• Extensive experience working with major retailers including Coles, Woolworths, Chemist Warehouse, Priceline and equivalent channels.
• Strong executive stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.
• Experience leading category strategy at a national or regional level.

Technical Capability

• Advanced expertise in NielsenIQ, Circana (IRI), Quantium and retailer data platforms.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing category P&L performance.
• Advanced analytical capability with proficiency in Excel, Power BI and category management tools.
