Job summary

The University of Adelaide is seeking a Senior Manager, Category Management to lead enterprise category planning, complex sourcing and strategic supplier partnerships that deliver value, innovation and responsible procurement outcomes across the institution.

Reporting to the Director of Procurement within the Finance Function, you will influence senior stakeholders, coach procurement professionals, and embed best-practice procurement, sustainability, risk management and commercial excellence

Qualifications

Extensive experience managing complex procurement categories and strategic sourcing initiatives in large organisations.
Proven ability to translate priorities and market insights into category strategies delivering measurable value.
Strong executive stakeholder engagement, supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.
Substantial leadership in procurement including coaching and developing professionals.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise category planning and complex sourcing initiatives.
Manage strategic supplier relationships to deliver long-term value.
Influence senior stakeholders and embed best-practice procurement, sustainability and risk management.
Coach and develop high-performing procurement professionals.
Shape category strategies across the university to support priorities and financial sustainability.
