Qualifications

• BS in Optics, Imaging Science, Physics, Electrical/Mechanical Eng or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on consumer electronics hardware development experience.
• Knowledge of camera module design principles and image quality fundamentals.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration and manufacturing partners.
• Data analysis skills with JMP, MATLAB, Excel or similar tools.
• Experience in camera modules design, optical simulation, metrology, testing and lab work.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for camera modules and act as primary contact for tech aspects.
• Define detailed specs for camera modules aligned with system architecture and goals.
• Analyze build data to validate design and drive iterative improvements.
• Coordinate with architecture, sensor, mechanical, electrical, optical, validation, and other teams to ensure integration.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks to protect timelines.
• Maintain documentation of decisions, iterations, and test results.
• Report progress, challenges, and successes to leadership regularly.
• Lead camera testing and validation to ensure performance criteria are met.
• Perform failure analysis and debugging at module and product levels.
