Job summary

Profectus is seeking multiple experienced Senior C#/.NET Software Engineers to support an Australian Government agency. You will work across the full stack, building and maintaining web applications in a Microsoft environment, including design, coding, database development, release and Level 3 support.

Join a small team to deliver scalable solutions, collaborate across DevOps pipelines, and mentor junior developers while ensuring quality before release.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial C# development experience.
• Strong proficiency with .NET Framework 4.5+ and/or .NET Core/.NET 5+.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web API and web application development.
• Solid understanding of object oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• SQL Server experience covering database design and complex query development.
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and at least one modern JavaScript framework.
• Experience with DevOps practices, source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to take technical responsibility across all stages of software development and to plan and drive development activities.
• Experience planning and delivering release packages, including risk assessment, post release review and rollback.
• Experience delivering systems integration between applications and building continuous integration capability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications using C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core
• Build and maintain web applications using ASP.NET MVC, Web API and modern front end technologies
• Create and maintain database solutions using SQL Server, Entity Framework and related data technologies
• Develop responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
• Maintain deployment procedures, code repositories and CI/CD pipelines
• Write clean, maintainable and well documented code aligned to established coding standards
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers
• Optimise application performance and address scalability requirements
• Work with testing teams to confirm quality before release
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers
• Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues
• Maintain and enhance existing applications based on user feedback and business requirements
• Monitor application performance using logging and monitoring tools and implement improvements
• Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation
