Penrith Panthers in Sydney's Western Suburbs seeks a Senior Business Development Manager to lead business events sales across WSCC and ECP. You will shape the sales strategy for both venues, develop the team and build opportunities that grow revenue and venue utilisation.

This role blends client engagement with cross-venue collaboration, partnering with Trilogy Hotels, marketing, and event operations to deliver outstanding experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience leading sales or business development in businessevents, conferencing, hospitality or a related sector.
• Proven ability to win new business, grow key accounts and deliver revenue targets.

Build strategic partnerships, win high-value event business andlead the team driving growth for Western Sydney Convention Centre(WSCC) and Events Centre Penrith (ECP).

The Opportunity

Panthers Group is seeking a Senior Business Development Managerto lead business events sales across Western Sydney ConventionCentre and Events Centre Penrith. You'll shape the sales strategyfor both venues, develop the team and build opportunities that growrevenue and venue utilisation.

This is an opportunity to work across two venues as one businessevents offering, connecting clients with the spaces, accommodationand experiences that best meet their needs.

About the role

The Senior Business Development Manager leads the sales functionacross WSCC and ECP, with a strong focus on proactively sourcingnew business and converting opportunities into confirmed events.Success in the role depends on identifying prospects, building ahealthy pipeline and turning enquiries into bookings. The role alsostrengthens key accounts and works closely with Trilogy Hotels,Group Marketing, Group Relationships and the event operationsteam.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and execute the business events sales strategy acrossboth venues.
• Lead, coach and develop the sales team, driving performance,accountability and achievement of sales targets.
• Proactively source and pursue new business, convert qualifiedleads into confirmed bookings, and build repeat business through astrong, actively managed sales pipeline.
• Develop relationships with key clients, conference organisers,industry partners and corporate accounts.
• Prepare proposals, present venue solutions and negotiatecommercial terms to secure business.
• Place business across WSCC and ECP where it delivers the bestoverall outcome for Panthers Group.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell accommodation,conferencing and events across the broader Panthers precinct.
• Partner with Trilogy Hotels and hotel sales teams to maximiseaccommodation and business events opportunities.
• Collaborate with Group Marketing on campaigns and initiativesthat generate demand, and with Group Relationships to convertstrategic B2B opportunities.
• Track sales activity and results, using pipeline insights toforecast business and identify opportunities for growth.

About you

You're a commercially minded sales leader who loves selling. Youactively seek out new business, build relationships that open doorsand make the most of every opportunity to sell and convert interestinto confirmed bookings. You lead your team to pursue opportunitieswith the same energy and follow through, while balancing clientneeds with strong commercial outcomes across multiple venues.
