Job summary

Hydrogen Group is partnering with an Australian Financial Services organisation undergoing a significant uplift across its Cyber Security and Technology Risk environment, seeking a Senior Business Analyst with genuine Cyber Security domain experience.

This is not a generalist BA position; you will lead requirements gathering across network security, perimeter controls, and WAF initiatives, translating highly technical security requirements for business audiences and collaborating with Security

Senior Business Analyst - Cyber Security

12 months - Fixed Term

Organisation

• We're partnering with an Australian Financial Services organisation undergoing a significant uplift across its Cyber Security and Technology Risk environment.
• We're looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with genuine Cyber Security domain experience to support the delivery of several security initiatives spanning network security, perimeter controls, cloud security and broader enterprise security capabilities.
• This is not a generalist BA position. We're looking for someone who understands the Cyber Security landscape and can confidently operate between Security Architects, Engineers, Technology teams, vendors and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and analysis across complex Cyber Security initiatives.
• Translate highly technical security requirements into clear business, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Support projects across network segmentation, perimeter security and security controls.
• Contribute to the discovery, design, implementation and optimisation of Web Application Firewall (WAF) capabilities.
• Work closely with Security Architects and Engineers to understand current-state environments and define future-state requirements.

Experience

• Significant Business Analysis experience within Cyber Security, Information Security or Technology Risk.
• Strong understanding of network security architecture and segmentation.
• Experience across Identity & Access Management (IAM), particularly exposure to Okta, SailPoint, PAM or access governance.
• Experience working within SIAM or complex multi-vendor environments, alongside security vendors, managed service providers and third-party delivery partners.
• Experience across perimeter security, firewalls and boundary protection.
• Exposure to Web Application Firewall (WAF) initiatives.
• Understanding of Zero Trust principles and cloud security concepts.
• Experience delivering Cyber Security initiatives within large, complex enterprise environments.
• Ability to confidently engage with highly technical Security Architects and Engineers while translating requirements for broader business audiences.
