Job summary

ZSoft Technologies in Canberra is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to take an incompletely documented legacy application, understand how it actually operates and convert that knowledge into a clear, deliverable modernisation backlog. This is an application delivery BA role, not policy or general transformation.

You will lead application and process discovery, assess Access DB, SharePoint, spreadsheets and legacy applications, and document current-state processes, pain points and business rules.

Qualifications

• 7+ years senior BA/application delivery experience.
• Application modernisation or legacy-system delivery.
• Process discovery and rationalisation.
• Requirements and business-rule analysis.
• Agile, user stories and backlog management.
• Azure DevOps or equivalent.
• UAT and acceptance management.
• Data/integration analysis.
• Strong stakeholder and workshop facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Lead application and process discovery.
• Assess Access DB, SharePoint, spreadsheet and legacy applications.
• Document current-state processes, pain points and business rules.
• Analyse application data, users, interfaces and integrations.
• Develop requirements, user stories and measurable acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate business and technical discovery workshops.
• Support workload assessment, prioritisation and treatment recommendations.
• Maintain scope and requirements traceability.
• Coordinate SIT/UAT and business acceptance.
• Support migration/reconciliation requirements.
• Contribute to operational documentation, training and BAU transition.
