Senior Business Analyst

  • $148,113 per annum + 12% superannuation
  • Full time, 12 month fixed term opportunity
  • Wadawurrung / Geelong based role (hybrid – 3 days a week in office)

As a Senior Business Analyst, in this 12 month fixed term opportunity, you’ll play a key role in bringing this strategy to life by delivering impactful solutions across complex programs that drive better outcomes for our customers and the broader Victoria community.

Key accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Lead the identification and analysis of business, stakeholder, and solution requirements
  • Deliver high-quality business analysis outputs in line with WorkSafe’s project delivery frameworks
  • Facilitate workshops to gather and socialise requirements across a broad stakeholder group
  • Guide and mentor junior analysts, contributing to a growing BA Community of Practice
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, and external vendors
  • Champion innovation in business processes and contribute to ongoing service and product improvements
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase
  • Be a trusted advisor—working across both business and technology to shape strategic and operational outcomes

About you

You’re an experienced and adaptable Senior Business Analyst who thrives in a complex, fast paced environment. With a strong grasp of both Agile and Waterfall delivery, you’re confident in leading analysis activities, influencing stakeholders, and mentoring others. Your deep understanding of business processes, data, and systems helps you turn problems into practical, customer-focused solutions.

Key strengths we are looking for:

  • Expertise in requirement elicitation and process modelling
  • Expertise in data analysis to interpret current operational reports to define new reports working closely with business stakeholders and data and analytics team
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver within complex project environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all seniority levels
  • Experience mentoring or guiding other Business Analysts
  • Sound knowledge of BA frameworks such as BABOK, BPMN
  • Relevant qualifications in Business, IT, or a related discipline; certifications like CBAP, CSM or Six Sigma are a plus
