Job summary

TAYCON Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our national team in a genuinely fully remote capacity. This senior role offers significant autonomy, with potential for leadership, mentoring and broader involvement in the growth of the consultancy.

You will work on major commercial projects across Australia and provide advanced NCC and Building Code guidance. WA registration support is available for interstate candidates, with travel to WA as needed.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Building Surveyor registration or equivalent in Australia.
• Experience in commercial Building Surveying and certification.
• Strong knowledge of NCC and Australian Standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
• Leadership or mentoring experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior NCC and Building Code advice on commercial projects.
• Assess Class 2–9 buildings against NCC and standards.
• Prepare and review technical reports, certification documentation and compliance advice.
• Manage projects from design through certification and completion.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to QA/improvement.
• Assist with client relationships and business development.
• Contribute to project allocation, workflow and resourcing.
