Job summary

Campbelltown City Council seeks an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to drive efficient determinations of planning and building apps, providing guidance to internal and external customers. The role supports growth of the local area and requires strong knowledge of relevant legislation.

The successful candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in building surveying, possess a White Card, a Class C licence, and demonstrate the ability to manage large workloads with a risk-based approach.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in building surveying with registration as building surveyor restricted (class 1 and 10 buildings).
• White Card and current Class C driver's licence.
• Knowledge of development and building control legislation.
• Ability to manage a large workload with competing priorities.
• Ability to apply a risk-based approach to planning and building determinations.
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote growth of the local government area by efficiently determining planning and building applications and advising internal/external customers.
• Apply a risk-based approach in recommending and determining planning and building applications.
