Job summary

Amida Group in NSW is seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to join their NSW construction team, providing specialist technical and commercial support across complex building services components from pre-construction through to final completion.

This permanent full-time role involves working with clients, consultants and subcontractors to deliver mechanical and electrical services safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Construction, Engineering or Building Services qualification (or relevant trade background with equivalent experience).
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in building services management within the construction industry.
• Extensive knowledge of building services installation and project delivery processes.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, contracts and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence stakeholders and build effective team.
• Senior First Aid Certificate and Construction Safety Induction (White Card).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level consultation on building services requirements with clients, consultants and project teams.
• Support tender submissions through review of services documentation, preliminary costings and subcontractor quotations.
• Assist estimating and project teams with procurement and analysis of services subcontractors.
• Review design and construct services solutions, attending design workshops and liaising with consultants and subcontractors.
• Investigate alternative design and installation methodologies to improve cost efficiency, programme and buildability.
• Provide technical support throughout construction delivery, commissioning and handover phases.
• Ensure building services installations comply with contractual requirements, quality standards and regulatory obligations.
• Review and monitor services drawings, documentation and installation processes.
• Identify project risks and support teams with effective solutions throughout delivery.
• Assist with commissioning, certification and completion requirements for building services systems.
• Monitor essential services compliance and documentation.
