Job summary

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is seeking a Senior Analyst to help supervise Australia's largest banks. You will analyse financial and non-financial risks, engage with banks and contribute to supervisory assessments that support a safe and stable financial system.

Based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, you will develop expertise in banking, risk management and prudential supervision while working on issues that matter to Australia’s financial system and community.

Qualifications

Experience in banking, financial services, risk management, consulting, economics, accounting, public policy or a related field.
Strong analytical abilities and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
Solid written and verbal communication skills for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Analyse information to identify emerging risks, issues and trends.
Contribute to major bank cohort supervision and benchmarking activities.
Develop supervisory risk assessments and recommendations to address prudential issues.
Engage with banks and participate in supervisory reviews.
Prepare briefings and advice for internal decision-makers.
Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
