Job summary

HorizonOne Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to design, build and maintain robust Azure-based data and analytics platforms. You will lead Terraform-driven infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, and security-conscious architecture within a hybrid Canberra-based team.

You will collaborate with data engineers, stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions, supporting AI workloads and modern data workloads in a government

Qualifications

• Senior Azure Cloud Engineer with hands-on design and implementation experience.
• Experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps and cloud security concepts (networking, IAM, policy).
• Experience delivering infrastructure for data engineering, storage, analytics or data science environments.
• Ability to work in an Agile, multidisciplinary environment and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building and maintaining Azure cloud platforms and services
• Developing and managing infrastructure using Terraform
• Building and supporting Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Working across Azure networking, IAM, security and policy
• Supporting Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Web Apps and Logic Apps
• Designing infrastructure for data, analytics and AI workloads
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
• Contributing within multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams
