Job summary
Westpac is seeking an Avaloq Principal Engineer to lead design, development and implementation of Avaloq Core Platform solutions. You will drive architecture, establish engineering standards and deliver secure, scalable capabilities aligned with Westpac’s technology strategy and customer needs.
You’ll advise senior stakeholders, mentor teams, and oversee design reviews, performance tuning and DevOps practices across Agile teams while ensuring compliance and risk controls.
Qualifications
- Ideally 10 years of hands-on Avaloq Core Platform development and implementation experience.
- Deep expertise across Avaloq modules, ICE, SQL Developer, Oracle, PL/SQL and the Avaloq change lifecycle.
- Proven ability to drive Avaloq architecture, solution design, technical standards and major design decisions.
- Strong experience conducting design reviews, code audits and leading quality control, scalability and coding standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in the design, development and implementation of Avaloq Core Platform solutions.
- Drive architecture, establish engineering standards and deliver secure, scalable capabilities.
- Lead Avaloq development, design reviews, code audits and release decisions.
- Mentor specialists, coach teams and influence stakeholder groups while driving automation and continuous improvement.
