Job summary

IM Solutions is seeking an Audio Visual Senior Lead Technician & Commissioning Technician to lead field installation teams, oversee commissioning, and hand over commercially deployed AV systems. This on-site, full-time role in Melbourne, FL reports to the Project Manager and requires driving crews, coordinating with engineers, configuring DSPs, testing, and ensuring quality assurance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of AV installation experience and knowledge of construction methodology.
• 3-5 years of AV commissioning and system testing experience.
• Experience leading field teams of 5 or more.
• Strong commercial AV systems knowledge.
• Advanced skills in DSP, control systems, networking, testing and troubleshooting.
• CTS / CTS-I or equivalent certification.
• Strong customer communication skills.
• Able to drive a company fleet vehicle, lift 35+ lbs, and work on ladders up to 25 ft with lift certification training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise AV installation teams and subcontractors as the primary field technical lead
• Work with Project Managers and engineers on scope and site issues
• Follow project specifications, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
• Configure and program control systems, DSPs, audio mixers and specialty devices
• Install and maintain racks, displays, projectors, cameras, VTC systems, microphones and speakers
• Commission systems, including final testing, calibration and quality assurance
• Troubleshoot AV and IT issues in the field
• Train end users on completed systems
• Maintain redlines and configuration files for the customer deliverables package
