Job summary

Lawson Elliott Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor/Assistant Manager for a Canberra-based independent accounting firm. You will lead audits, manage client portfolios, and mentor junior staff in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

The role offers exposure to IPO audits, governance, risk management and climate reporting, with strong training and career progression opportunities. CA/CPA or nearing completion is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years' audit experience within a reputable public practice firm.
• CA/CPA qualification (or nearing completion).
• Experience with CaseWare is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own client portfolio.
• Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion.
• Mentor, train, and support junior team members.
• Review audit work and provide technical guidance and constructive feedback.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout the audit process.
