Job summary

PwC Australia is seeking a Senior Manager for the Private Audit team to lead complex external audits for owner-managed businesses, family enterprises and high-net-worth clients. You will oversee planning, delivery, and risk management while mentoring senior staff and guiding audit teams.

You will provide senior-level guidance on financial reporting, governance and industry best practices, leveraging advanced audit technologies to improve client outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years external audit experience, with private clients exposure.
• CA qualification required.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Strong client management and advisory skills.
• Deep knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee planning, execution, and delivery of external audit engagements for private clients.
• Manage multiple engagements, guiding audit teams for quality, efficiency, and risk management.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with owner-managed businesses and high net worth clients.
• Provide senior-level advice on financial reporting, governance, and regulatory obligations.
• Champion advanced audit technologies and data analytics to improve audit quality.
• Collaborate with PwC leadership and regulators to resolve complex audit issues.
• Mentor senior staff and foster high performance within the team.
